After her parents passed away in their 50's - her mother due to arthritis complications and her father, from an attack on his heart--she realized she had to take control of her health to ensure that the same fate did not come her way. The goal was not to lose weight but to enhance our health and find a lifestyle that would maximize the capacity of our bodies to perform.
