
Suzanne Pleshette (January 31, 1937 until January 19 January 19, 2008) was an American film, theatre, television, and voice actress. Pleshette began her stage career, and appeared in films during the latter half of the 1950s. She then appeared in notable films like Rome Adventure (1962), Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds (1963), or Spirited Away (192001). Then, she appeared in various television productions and was often a guest actor. She was Emily Hartley in The Bob Newhart Show from 1972 through 1978 and received a number of Emmy Award nominations. Pleshette was born on the 31st of January, 1937, in the New York City neighborhood of Brooklyn Heights, to Geraldine (nee Kaplan)[1 and Eugene Pleshette. The parents of the couple were Jewish parents of immigrants from Russia or Austria-Hungary. She was the daughter of Geraldine Rivers, a performer and dancer.
