Alison Krauss

Alison Krauss' first taste of recognition as a fiddler happened in 1990. She was just 19 and won the Grammy in the category of Best Bluegrass Album. It was an accomplishment not just due to Krauss's old age, as the album that brought her this recognition, I've Got That Old Feeling is actually the third release in Krauss's catalog. Too Late To Cry is her debut album. It came out in Champaign Illinois in the year she was 16. When she was 14, she signed an agreement for her debut album with Rounder Records - one of the most revered folk music labels. Her accomplishments even at such a young age, as well as her ability to play the guitar, have been consistently matched by the fact that she's kept her commitment to bluegrass music - one of the country's oldest and most unappreciated musical genres. Krauss at one time a teenager phenom, had grown into a performer as well as a producer. Alison Alison Alison
